The Untold Stories

Writer: johnkenson24johnkenson24

Most movies give the worst clichés about life. Especially, romantic movies. They always get you feeling all loved, and hopeful while removing the thoughts of inconsistencies, expectations ruining realities, and a sense of practicality. These movies will only tell you the same old thing over and over again, and if you look closely, they all suck.

It starts where boy meets girl, girl falls head over heels in love, boy catches the girl, girl finds something wrong with the boy, they break up, meet agaib in the most "unexpected way" (if you know what I mean), realizes that they love each other, and eventually ends up together, in the old timer, happily ever after ending.

While all the glitters and shine of love and hope emanate from this far too old of a narrative, eyes are taken away from the people who actually paved the way for that love story to end in the most successful way possible. But who cares about those people, none! That's what I say!

In this one of a king story, you do realize that, there's always at least five people who doesn't get their stories told. Most of the time, camera's are always focused on the protagonists, but the people on the background are usually not seen.

Imagine the role of the Best Friend, who never gets the girl, but stays for her just to get his hopes up for a chance of a happily ever after, when in the end, she ends up with the guy who she had always wanted. Or, what about the Fiancé whom the guy has sworn to be with for the rest of their lives, in a few weeks before their wedding day gets distracted and finally finds, "The One"?! Talk about a waste of full years of relationship and getting to know each other, taken away by destiny or fate. How about Rebound guy who she teases just to get the attention of the only guy she wishes to be with. When later in the scenes, will emerge as vengeful and will be hated just because he tried to fight for her affection.

Doesn't it bother you that all these happily ever afters cause a lot of sad endings that no one actually cared about? Don't they deserve the same ending and the same benefit that these movies tell people?
