Endings

Writer: johnkenson24johnkenson24

All stories have endings. The length of a novel is defined by how far away the current writing is from its conclusion. Where there is life, there is death. The starting line always points toward the finish. It's all the same.

Some stories tell of happy endings, while others provide tragic or horrifying closures. Although the greatest of stories are the ones which the audiences do not wish to end, but must also close. The quality of the full story depends not really on how it started, but how the story was told until the end.

Television series and movies both provide stories of their writers visualized into character acting and scenical reenactments. A bad show is often ended quickly, while a great one is provided with a new beginning, to continue its end. This is the typical cycle of entertainment viewership. However, all great things won't last long as well. You can only delay the ending of it for some time, but as you stretch the story away from its deserved conclusion, you also deprive it of the quality and uniqueness that it was meant for.

A great and short story will leave a mark more than a long and entrailed series that didn't deserve to be prolonged. The same thing can also be applied in real life.

We human beings tend to cling on to life for as long as we can, but in order to live, you have to sustain a status-quo. Have the basic necessities in life. In order to provide for yourself, you'll be needing money. In order to gain money, you'll need to work. In order for you to work, you'll need your basic necessities. And thus, a person is forever stuck in this life cycle until it reaches its known conclusion.

We might not know how our life ends, but what we do know is how our life is currently going. It is not living for the sake of being alive that we wish. It is to be alive in order to live. We do not have the luxury of spending time for doing things that will also lead to the same ending. We all wanted to live as carefree and as happily as we could be. But that is not the reality that we are currently situated on.

So, most of us take life for granted and gets stuck in the same routine, waiting for something or someone special to break us out of it. This is were fate, destiny, and hope interferes. Love, companionship, fear, and loneliness intervenes in the routinary cycle that we live in. Due to these points and parts of our lives, we tend to thrash around the ordinary cycle and make memories that we cannot forget.
